Playas in the Community
Playas has always been an integral part of the “bootheel” community. Even though our role has changed over the years, it’s still just as important as it has ever been. We are committed to helping local organizations and nonprofits focus on specific community issues and better understand the unique needs, challenges, and aspirations of Hidalgo County. We actively work on building trust by developing relationships with community leaders, attending local events, and listening to conversations and meetings to identify outreach opportunities. Establishing partnerships within the community will help us to develop a strategy for stronger economic development and community health.
